Zinc Oxide TS-99

About Zinc Oxide TS-99

Silox India has a rich legacy of manufacturing Zinc Oxide through Wet (Calcination) Process from Virgin Zinc Metal Salts, for more than 25 years.

It employs a continuous process for manufacture of Zinc Oxide TS 99, which facilitates the product to be with a nodular particle shape, as against Acicular Particle shape in French Process Zinc Oxide (White Seal).

Since the process uses SHG Zinc Metal ingots instead of secondary materials such as Zinc Dross and Zinc Ash, the product manufactured from this process has lower impurity profile and hence more environmentally friendly.

Wet (Calcination) Process, being continuous in nature, offers uniformity in the product characteristics. The 100% nodular particles through faster reaction with fatty acid ensures smooth and homogeneous dispersion in polymers.

The absence of Acicular (needle) shaped particles (which is a defect initiator) eliminates any prospect of the product working as a minute tear initiator during usage.

The usage of pure raw material (SHG/HG Zinc Metal Ingot) facilitates to control the metallic rubber poisons such as Copper, Manganese, Lead & Cadmium to very low levels.

Unique Advantages of TS-99

Category Details
Impurity Profile Low level of metallic impurities (Rubber poisons like Cu, Pb, Mn, Fe, Cd) in the Product
Consistency Since the process is continuous in nature, it eliminates any batch-to-batch variation in properties of the product.
Particle Shape Wet (Calcination) Process ensure 100% Nodular Particle Shape while traditional French Process (White Seal) ZnO has acicular particles which can lead to defect initiation under dynamic conditions.
Dispersion Excellent dispersion due to crumbly structure and nodular shaped particles.
Pollution Less pollution and fly loss due to higher Bulk Density of the product.
